Back to School

Having returned from the UK after wonderful Summer holiday with a car full of fabulous new books and resources, I could not have been more excited to go back to school this week. I hope that la rentrée went smoothly in your households and that those starting school for the first time have enjoyed it thus far!

We are entering the second year of Kensington English and I am delighted to share an array of new classes and a new lunchtime club:

  • Biliterate Classes 5-8 and 8-12
These classes, unique to Kensington English, have been created with the multilingual child in mind and the design of which has been informed by much research of bilingual education programmes. At Kensington English, children aged from 5 years with an advanced pre-existing knowledge of English, are invited to discover the British Phonetics System and develop Reading and Writing skills.
  • Youth Improvisation for teens 12-16
Develop your listening skills and self-expression in English with international actor and improv’ star, Paul Berrocal.
  • ESL Stay and Play
Weekly classes for toddlers aged from 18months, with their accompanying adult, to begin their discovery of the English language through play, songs and visits.
  • Mothers and Babies’ Group
Weekly meetings for families with young children to share stories and a cup of tea. A calendar of visiting specialists will be established – First Aid, Doula, Skincare, Baby Massage…
  • Lunchtime Children’s Choir Club
Bring your picnic and come ready to sing some English songs, both contemporary and traditional, on Mondays 12h-13h30. Pédibus option available.

Don’t forget that, following our “Out of this World” success on 01.07.17, Maria will be starting Cool Science for Kids workshops on Friday afternoons!

Best,
Kate
